Kai Burner (he/they) is the Education and Outreach Manager of Mountain Pride, an organization that seeks to improve the lives and experiences of LGBTQ+ individuals in Colorado's rural mountain communities. As a lifelong local in one such area, Kai has seen firsthand the struggles that LGBTQ+ community members face in these spaces and spent his previous career as a bookseller spreading information and awareness through their love of books. Now, as a member of the Mountain Pride team, Kai spends his time advocating for more inclusive and aware policies and communities, spreading awareness through formal trainings and informal gatherings, and connecting members of the LGBTQ+ community to the resources they need to thrive, as well as survive.
